GREEN BAY - Ever wondered how Brett Favre would have fared playing for Vince Lombardi? Visions of that dynamic duo paired together no doubt influenced voters selecting our all-time Packers Hall of Fame team.

Favre easily bested Bart Starr (63.4 percent to 34.4 percent) at quarterback in online voting for USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin’s “Ultimate Team” roster. The Packers are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their Hall of Fame this season, and the Press-Gazette provided an easy-to-use method of selecting an all-time team.

Lombardi was a runaway winner over Curly Lambeau and Mike Holmgren as all-time coach, getting 90.9 percent of the vote.

The biggest vote-getters were legendary linebacker Ray Nitschke (99.7 percent) and defensive end Reggie White (97.9). Other popular players on defense included safety LeRoy Butler (88.8), cornerback Herb Adderley (88.8) and linebacker Dave Robinson (87.2).

On offense, Jim Taylor (66.3 percent) formed the backfield with longtime running mate Paul Hornung (54.7). Don Hutson (61.4) and Sterling Sharpe (50.0) beat out strong competition to win at wide receiver.
