Facing a tough re-election fight in 2018, Democratic U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin will get a big cash boost Saturday afternoon with a fundraising event headlined by U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.).

The fundraiser will be held at Good City Brewing, a Democratic Party operative confirmed. The two senators will not hold a joint public appearance.

"It’s no surprise that Senator Baldwin is turning to an east-coast liberal like Elizabeth Warren to help her raise money and pick Washington over Wisconsin,” said Alec Zimmerman, spokesman for the Republican Party of Wisconsin. “Both Warren and Baldwin would dramatically raise taxes on hard-working Wisconsin families through their extreme far-left fantasies, like government-run health care and its $32 trillion price tag."

Delafield businessman Kevin Nicholson and state Sen. Leah Vukmir of Brookfield are the only announced candidates for the Republican senate primary next year.
