The Wisconsin Herd had a busy day Friday, making a pair of acquisitions on the eve of its first NBA G League draft.

Adding 23-year-old Joel Bolomboy, a 6-foot-9 forward with a 7-foot-1 3/4 wingspan, was the more notable move, as he locked up the Milwaukee Bucks' second two-way contract.

Bolomboy spent the 2016-'17 season bouncing between the Utah Jazz and Salt Lake City Stars after being selected 52nd in the 2016 draft. Bolomboy, who was born in Kiev, Ukraine, and attended Weber State, logged just 53 minutes in 12 games for the Jazz last season.

In 24 G League games, he averaged 16.6 points and 13.3 rebounds in 34.4 minutes while shooting 54.4%. Bolomboy also showed promise as a three-point shooter, making 22 of 47 attempts (46.8%).

Earlier Friday, the Herd acquired the returning player rights of 6-8 forward Cliff Alexander along with a fourth-round draft pick from the Long Island Nets in return for two second-round picks in 2018.

Alexander, 21, spent one season at Kansas in 2014-'15 and went undrafted in 2015. He played eight games with the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2015-'16 season but has spent most of his time in the G League, averaging 15.7 points and 8.7 rebounds in 44 games.
