Cookie Cutter Santa List 5

Cookie Cutter Santa Christmas List

When you start making your holiday gift Wish List, why not dress it up and make it cute?!  I created an adorable skinny notepad to help keep track of who's naughty and who's nice!  I also made a matching pen, to write on the list in style!  You can use this as your master gift list year-to-year to get you in the holiday spirit as you check off those names!

Cookie Cutter Santa List 3

Notepad & Holder Basics—The notepad is a Junior Legal Pad that's been cut in half.  Just take it to a local office supply store to get them trimmed down.  The cover is made with a 5-1/2" x 8-1/4" piece of Cherry Cobbler, scored at 2-5/8" and 2-7/8" to make the spine.

I covered the top of the notepad with a 2-1/2" x 2" piece of retired Candy Cane Lane Designer Series paper using Tear & Tape.  I added a sentiment from the Oh What Fun stamp set in Archival Black ink onto Whisper white, then punched it out with the Classic Label Punch and adhered to the top.  The notepad was secured inside the cover with Tear & Tape Adhesive.

Matching Pen—I rolled up a piece of retired Candy Cane Lane DSP and stuffed it inside the Pentel RSVP pen.  I topped it off with a little retired white ribbon.

Cover Décor—I covered the front of the Christmas List with more Candy Cane Lane DSP: 2-3/8" x 3" for the top piece and 2-3/8" x 5" for the bottom piece.  The 2-3/8" x 1/2" Basic Black strip mimics Santa's belt.

Sweet Santa—I stamped the Cookie Cutter Christmas santa image in Archival Black Ink onto Whisper White card stock.  I colored him in with Real Red ink and an Aqua Painter, Powder Pink ink and a Blender Pen, and the Black Watercolor Pencil and a Blender Pen.  I also added some Wink of Stella Clear to the fur on his hat and coat.  He's punched out with the coordinating Cookie Cutter Punch, then popped up with Dimensionals.  I also stamped the ball on his hat separately.  It's punched with the Cookie Cutter Punch and popped up, too!

Finishing Touches—I secured a 9" strand of Silver Mini Sequin Trim on the black strip with a Glue Dot.  Then, I finished by adding a bow using some retired silver sparkly ribbon, also attached with a Glue Dot.

Santa List - Check It Twice

Two CoolI thought it might be fun to add a little saying on the front, so I printed out the "Make A List & Check It Twice" words onto Whisper White card stock, hand-cut them and popped up each part with Dimensionals.

What Do You Think?—I'm not sure if I should add the words to this craft fair item.  What do you think?  I'm kind of liking the words, but I'd love your feedback before I commit to adding it!
