Pioneer Bank Welcomes Aaron Emmert

Aaron Emmert, senior vice president and chief financial officer, Pioneer Bank, 1095 Mechem Dr., Ruidoso and throughout southern New Mexico.

Pioneer Bank is announced the addition of Aaron Emmert as their new senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO), according to a Pioneer Bank press release.  Emmert, a native of El Paso, is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Master's of Business Administration degree from UTEP. 

According to the release, Emmert's broad knowledge and experience in the banking industry will be a great asset to Pioneer Bank.

“Aaron is a seasoned banker with experience in multiple disciplines,” Pioneer Bank CEO Stephen P. Puntch stated in the release. “He is a welcome addition to our existing management team.”

Emmert began his banking career in 1993, and has held positions in the areas of finance, operations, and lending. Emmert served as Pioneer Bank’s  Market President in El Paso, a position he held for three years.

“We welcome Aaron to the Pioneer Bank team," President and COO Christopher Palmer stated in the release. "We believe that Aaron’s skill-sets and talent will benefit both our customers and Pioneer Bank. He is respected for his integrity and accomplishments throughout his career, and shares our vision and mission to serve our community through banking.”

Emmert accepted a position in 2015 as senior commercial lender for Idaho Independent Bank and relocated from El Paso to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Upon accepting his new position with Pioneer Bank, Emmert relocated with his family to Roswell, according to the release.  

“Pioneer Bank is a first-class operation and I am pleased to join their management team,” Emmert stated in the release. “I am looking forward to my new role as CFO and helping Pioneer Bank achieve its financial and operational goals.”

According to the release, Pioneer Bank began in 1901 as Roswell Building and Loan Association. It has grown to be one of the largest community banks in the region with 16 locations in New Mexico, Texas and Colorado.
