Search launched for owner of capsized boat in Waukesha County

A search was launched Wednesday for the owner of a sailboat found capsized in Waukesha County.

The boat was found shortly before 1 p.m. on Upper Nashotah Lake in the area of Seminary Ridge in the City of Delafield, according to City of Delafield police.

Police were called to the area after a resident reported hearing voices that sounded like someone in distress, according to a news release.

A search for the person registered as the boat's owner was being conducted by local law enforcement agencies, and the investigation has been turned over to the Village of Summit Police Department, according to the release.
