Tim Rebers, Susan Varela lead performance of music from 'King David'

Musical theater veterans Tim Rebers and Susan Varela star in a performance of music from the Broadway musical "King David" at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid, 6880 N. Green Bay Ave., Glendale.

Rebers sings the title role in the musical by Alan Menken and Tim Rice, with Varela singing Michal. Hazzan Jeremy Stein, the congregation's cantor, will sing the role of Jonathan, the biblical David's friend and confidante. Tickets are $18. Visit www.cbintmilwaukee.org/ or call (414) 352-7310.
