The bat on the bronze Ken Griffey Jr. statue outside of Safeco Field has been stolen.
All that's left is the handle in his right hand.
The statue, created by Chicago-based sculptor Lou Cella, was unveiled during a ceremony in April with Griffey on hand.
It capped a big 18 months for Griffey, who had his jersey retired at Safeco and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Later Tuesday night, the Seattle Police Department tweeted they had recovered the bat and had a suspect in custody.
