Top prep football performers in the Knoxville area in Week 8

Cade Ballard had another big night for Greeneville. He threw for 272 yards and five touchdowns in the Greene Devils' 56-7 win over Sullivan South. Ballard completed all but four of his 19 passing attempts, though one of those misses was an interception.

Christian England, Campbell County: England ran for 122 yards on 18 carries in a 55-20 win over Karns.

Drew Jordan, Campbell County: Jordan scored four touchdowns in the game, three rushing and one receiving.

Shawn Marcum, Campbell County: Marcum made 10 catches for 153 yards and a touchdown.

Zach Rutherford, Campbell County: Rutherford threw for 370 yards and four touchdowns on 28-for-44 passing.

Dashon Bussell, Catholic: Bussell accounted for half of Catholic's receiving yards with five catches for 104 yards and one touchdown in a 58-7 win over West Greene.

Jack Sompayrac, Catholic: Sompayrac completed 10 of his passing attempts for 209 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

Noel Leyva, Gibbs: Leyva ran for 156 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries in a 42-13 win over Seymour.

Cody Estep, Grace Christian: Estep rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns and 21 carries  in a 42-6 win over CAK.

Evan Whaley, King's Academy: Whaley rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. He also caught a scoring pass.

William Romero, Lenoir City: Romery made eight tackles, including two for a loss and a sack, and also recovered a fumble in a 26-7 win over Stone Memorial.

Justin Howard, Northview Academy: Howard threw for 123 yards and two touchdowns on 7-for-11 passing in a 28-20 win over Pigeon Forge. He also ran the ball 16 times for 117 yards and two touchdowns.

Michael Crawford, Oliver Springs: Crawford rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries in a 51-18 win over Sunbright.

Farrell Scott, South-Doyle: Scott made 11 tackels in the win.

Seandre Scott, South-Doyle: Scott made two catches for 95 yards.

Quantre Miles, South-Doyle: Miles made eight tackles, including two for a loss.

Gavin Boruff, Sweetwater: Boruff made nine tackles, eight solo and two assists, in a 28-14 win over Polk County.

Drew Hicks, Sweetwater: Hicks ran for 121 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries.

Morgan Ernst, Webb: Ernst ran for 75 yards and two touchdowns on five carries in a 40-13 win over Boyd Buchanan. He also made 10 tackles on defense.

Jahlil Jefferson, Webb: Jefferson ran the ball six times for 142 yards and one touchdown.

Roderick Lewis, Webb: Lewis carried the ball four times for 60 yards and two touchdowns. He also made an interception on defense.
