All proceeds from the Los Angeles Lakers' preseason game against the Sacramento Kings at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday night will go to the victims of the mass shooting in Las Vegas earlier this week, the team announced on Friday.

The Lakers are regulars in Las Vegas, having played preseason games there since the "Showtime" teams of the 1980s.

“Our thoughts are with all those affected by this evil and senseless crime,” Lakers governor and controlling owner Jeanie Buss said in a statement. “While no one can erase the horrific actions of last Sunday, we are committed to doing everything we can to help the people of Las Vegas who were affected by this tragedy.”

A GoFundMe page created Monday after the shootings has raised nearly $10 million for the victims.

The donations from the game will be made through the MGM Resorts Foundation and the money raised will benefit the victims, their families and first responders.

“To say we are united in grief does not fully convey the sadness we feel as we offer our deepest sympathies and support to those impacted,” Kings owner Vivek Ranadive said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims, their families and everyone enduring this heartbreaking tragedy. Together we will remain Vegas strong.”
