Ruidoso man killed in Wednesday's accident on Hull Road

RUIDOSO – The New Mexico State Police continue their investigation of a fatal crash that killed a 23-year-old Ruidoso man on Hull Road Wednesday, according to a NMSP press release.

In the release NMSP spokesman Carl Christiansen stated NMSP officers responded to a single vehicle accident at 1000 Hull Road in Ruidoso around 8:10 p.m.

Christiansen wrote officers learned Mark Anthony Ramirez, 23, of Ruidoso, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by a field deputy from the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator.

In the release, he stated Ramirez and his passenger, Gage Horner, 23, of Ruidoso, were traveling south on Hull Road when Ramirez lost control of his 2003 Saab then collided with a tree prior to going down an embankment.

Horner sustained non-life threatening injuries then was transported by helicopter to the University Medical Center in El Paso for treatment of his injuries, Christiansen wrote in the release.
