Senator Peyton Manning?

Soon after Bob Corker announced Tuesday that he would not seek re-election,  the former Tennessee quarterback’s name quickly popped up.

Again.

When Manning retired from the NFL after the 2015 season, he was many times about his future.  Soon after his retirement, he told The Tennessean during its inaugural Middle Tennessee Sports Awards show that he was uncertain what his future would hold.

Would he coach the Vols? Would he own the Titans? Would he run for political office?

There may be no athlete or potential politician in the state of Tennessee with a bigger fan base.

Could Manning take that popularity to Washington, D.C.? Does he even want to pursue political office?

He is not talking about it. But many others are.

Peyton Manning wasn't the only celebrity name people were throwing out on social media.

Thought most just focused on Manning and Corker.
