Rains slow harvest activity in Nebraska

Recent rains have slowed early harvest activity in Nebraska. As of Sunday, seven percent of corn was harvested, compared to the five-year average of 13 percent. Ten percent of soybeans were harvested, equal to the average pace.

Winter wheat planting stood at 47 percent, behind the 59 average. Thirteen percent of wheat had emerged compared to 21 average.
