Currently Reading

I took 6 different flights last week, and spent countless hours driving, so I listened to many hours of audiobooks. I finished Final Girls, Riley Sager – oh my gosh, I do hate weak, annoying female characters and usually detracts from the book for me. Also started and completed The Child, Fiona Barton – loved it – and am almost done with Crazy Love You, Lisa Unger which is one of those books where does a good job of make us question what’s the truth and what’s in the character’s imagination.

Darkness has a way of creeping up when Ian is with Priss. Even when they were kids, playing in the woods of their small Upstate New York town, he could feel it. Still, Priss was his best friend, his salvation from the bullies who called him “loser” and “fatboy”…and from his family’s deadly secrets.

Now they’ve both escaped to New York City, Ian is a talented and successful graphic novelist, and Priss … Priss is still trouble.

Next week is road trip time – just 3 hours each way. I’m not sure what I’ll listen to yet. Just not feeling the options that I have available. Banned Books Week is this week (Sept. 24-30). Are you participating? See more in September #BookBlogging Events.

And thanks for suggesting the subscription boxes for book lovers. I can’t decide which company I should try out, there’s so many these days!
