North Shore Fire/Rescue said Saturday that it helped rescue a man stuck in a trash chute at a Whitefish Bay apartment building.

Oh, to be 19 years old and deciding to ride down an apartment building garbage chute.

Twice.

On Friday, a young man successfully entered the chute and made that journey from the fifth floor to the basement at an apartment building in the 400 block of E. Beaumont Ave. in Whitefish Bay.

On Saturday, that man was not so lucky.

According to a spokesman for North Shore Fire/Rescue, the man got caught between the second and third floors and called out for help for around 15 minutes before a neighbor heard him and called 911.

North Shore Fire/Rescue came to the scene. Emergency personnel found the man sandwiched in a v-shape.

Using webbing, the man was secured, pulled up to the third floor and taken out of the chute feet first.

The man had no injuries and declined to be taken to a hospital.

There was no word on whether the man learned his lesson.
