Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Joe Thomas hasn't missed a snap in his NFL career.

Joe Thomas, the former Brookfield Central and Wisconsin star, established a milestone in the NFL that may never be surpassed.

The Cleveland Browns left tackle played in his 10,000th consecutive snap Sunday vs. the Ravens in Baltimore. The milestone came on the first play of the Browns' second possession, a 9-yard carry by Isaiah Crowell.

Thomas, 32, was the third-overall selection in the 2007 NFL draft and has been a starter since Game 1 of his rookie season. He has played in 161 consecutive games - the longest streak among offensive linemen - made the Pro Bowl every season and been named to six all-pro teams.

"I don't think it will sink in during my career," Thomas said Sunday. "But when it's all said and done, this is definitely something that I think I'll be able to be very proud of and be able to put my hat on and have that as a big accomplishment."

Thomas, who is 6 foot 7 and 311 pounds, has never competed in a playoff game. He also has played for six head coaches, blocked for 22 quarterbacks and 69 running backs and had 403 teammates.

Thomas' achievement didn't go unnoticed on Twitter:

By the way, Thomas and the Browns fell to the Ravens on Sunday, 24-10.
