The Marquette women’s soccer team was able to stop UW-Milwaukee’s scoreless streak but not its winning streak.

Senior Aubrey Krahn scored a pair of goals, including one in the 77th minute as the Panthers (9-0-1) won their ninth straight game and remained unbeaten with a 2-1 victory over the No. 19 Golden Eagles (7-2-1) at Engelmann Stadium on Sunday night.

Krahn got the Panthers on the board in the 19th minute. Teammate Cassidy Blanchard redirected Jen Eberhardy’s corner kick and Krahn’s header got past Marquette goalkeeper Maddy Henry.

UWM goalie Mallory Geurts hadn’t allowed an opposing score for over 832 minutes.

She made another seven saves before Marquette’s Jamie Kutey scored off the post with less than five minutes to play.

Geuerts’ amazing stretch of over 917 minutes without allowing a goal dates back to last season and is the ninth-longest streak in NCAA history.

The all-time UWM-MU series is now tied at 9-9-8.
