The FedEx Advantage Rewards program has been a way to earn Delta SkyMiles while shipping with FedEx. There have been lucrative promotions in the past. Like the last one where members would earn 4x miles per dollar spent. And it was easy too. All you had to do was simply signup for an account and then add your number when making a purchase.
But it looks like Delta and FedEx are in the processing of enhancing changing the program.
Per the email below, FedEx has ended the current Delta SkyMiles offer and is in the process of developing new Delta SkyMiles promotions to better serve the customer.
Bottom Line
The FedEx Advantage program has been a good way to earn miles on shipping. It is yet to be seen if the new promotions will be as good.

The question is whether Delta is pushing the change or Fedex. If Delta, can only be worse.
I had a very tough time with Fedex/Delta rewards (last fall, there was a glitch in FedEx’s system and names got switched around). Ultimately, after ~6 months of calling, I gave up trying to get my Delta points. What I CAN tell you is that the FedEx corporate office now hates me. IMO any change to the program can only get better.
