Knoxville area high school football top 10 games for Week 5

Here’s a look at Friday's top 10 Knoxville area high school football matchups for Week 4 of the 2017 season. The USA TODAY NETWORK - Tennessee’s Tom Kreager will be picking the winners.

GAME OF THE WEEK

Clinton (2-1, 0-0) at Powell (3-1,1-1)

Walker Trusley led the Panthers to a 21-19 win over Karns last week, passing for 257 yards and a touchdown. Before going up against Anderson County last week, Clinton had only allowed eight points in two games. This is a Region 3-5A matchup.

West (3-1) at Oak Ridge (2-2)

Oak Ridge is looking to rebound from its first shutout in 24 years, which came at the hands of Farragut. West has been rolling since its Week 1 loss to Bearden.

Pigeon Forge (2-1, 0-0) at Alcoa (2-2, 1-0)

Alcoa had a strong showing against Maryville last week, led by Walker Russell's 171 passing yards. The Tornadoes are looking for coach Gary Rankin's 400th win. Andrew Baiamonte threw for 233 yards in Pigeon Forge's win over Cumberland County last week. This is a 2-3A matchup

Catholic (2-2, 0-0) at Soddy-Daisy (3-1,0-1)

Catholic begins Region 4-5A play this week. The Fighting Irish defense got in on the scoring last week with a safety and a pick six. Soddy-Daisy's offense exploded for 49 points in a win over Hixon.

Bearden (3-1, 1-0) at Science Hill (3-1,1-0)

DJ Cox ran for 117 yards and two touchdowns in Bearden's win over South-Doyle last week. Science Hill couldn't keep up with the prolific offense of Greeneville in Week 4. This is a 1-6A matchup.

Hardin Valley (2-2, 0-0) at Morristown West (1-2, 0-1)

Luke Defur led Hardin Valley in a win over Central last week with 16 total tackles, including a sack and two for a loss, and contributed 43 receiving yards. Morristown West was off last week but lost to Farragut in Week 3. This is a 1-6A matchup.

Grace Christian (1-2, 1-0) vs. Webb (1-2, 0-0)

Both teams played Chattanooga opponents last week. Luke Kirby threw for 310 yards and an interception in Grace Christian's win over Boyd-Buchanan. Webb fell to McCallie 49-22. This is a DIIAA-East matchup

Farragut (4-0, 1-0) at Jefferson Co. (3-1, 0-1)

Four Admirals made it to the end zone in Farragut's shutout of Oak Ridge last week. Jefferson County held Carter to seven points. This is a 1-6A matchup.

Pisgah, N.C. (3-1) at Greeneville (4-0)

Cade Ballard threw for 130 yards and rushed for 183 in Greeneville's win over Science Hill. Pisgah has not put up fewer than 31 points since a Week 1 loss.

Lenoir City (3-1, 1-0) at Rhea Co. (2-2, 1-0)

Devin Noah threw for 291 yards and five touchdowns in Lenoir City's win over CAK. He ran for 79 yards and another score. Three rushers scored as Rhea County edged McMinn County in overtime last week. This is a 4-5A matchup.
