Vols wide receiver Josh Smith (25) catches a ball during practice Aug. 18, 2017.

Butch Jones was emptying the trainer's room on Monday rather than adding to the Tennessee football injury report.

The Vols' coach said wide receivers Tyler Byrd, Latrell Williams and Josh Smith are expected back Saturday when the Vols open SEC play at Florida (3:30 p.m. ET, CBS). Williams is listed as a starter on UT's depth chart.

Byrd, Williams and Smith all sat out Saturday's 42-7 victory over Indiana State, although Jones said Smith was available.

"He actually could've played in the game," Jones said of the fifth-year senior, who suffered a sprained shoulder during preseason practice, "but we wanted to make sure he had another week of recovery and treatment."

Jones reiterated that reserve tight end Eli Wolf suffered a sprained left ankle against the Sycamores. He listed the sophomore as questionable for Saturday.

"It's nothing surgical," Jones said of Wolf's injury, "so that was great."

Jones also listed kick returner Evan Berry and offensive lineman Marcus Tatum as questionable.

"We did come away healthy, though, from this (Indiana State) game, which is a positive," Jones said.

In other matters, Jones said the Vols will need to be more physical Saturday than they were last week.

"I don't think we played to the level of physicality that's up to our standards or expectations," he said.

Jones said defensive end Kyle Phillips "played one of his best football games since he's been here."

Jones didn't commit to any game plan for quarterbacks Quinten Dormady and Jarrett Guarantano, who both played against Indiana State.

"We'll continue to compete and we'll see what happens during the course of the week of preparations," Jones said.

Ty Chandler, who returned the opening kickoff 91 yards for a touchdown, was named SEC Freshman of the Week. It was the 11th touchdown scored on either a kick or punt return during Jones' tenure.

"That's a direct correlation to all the hard work that we put into it," Jones said.
