How they voted: 40 of 61 AP voters put Vols on their ballot

Tennessee moved up two spots to No. 23 in this week's AP poll, released Sunday. CollegePollTracker.com keeps a record of each voter's ballot.

Forty of the 61 media members who vote in the AP poll had the Vols in their Top 25.

The highest the Vols were ranked on any ballot was No. 16. Keith Sargeant of the Asbury Park (N.J.) Press and Rob Long of WJFK The Fan in Baltimore slotted them there.

One voter, Jerry DiPaola of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, ranked the Vols 17th.

Adam Jude of the Seattle Times and Gary Horowitz of the Statesman Journal in Salem, Ore., pegged Tennessee 18th.

The Vols also got two votes at No. 19. The remaining 33 of their 40 votes came in the Nos. 20 through 25 slots.

Knoxville News Sentinel columnist John Adams ranked the Vols 20th.
