Police log: Woman flees after police respond to a drug overdose

DUBLIN TOWNSHIP - A woman is accused of fleeing after state police responded to a reported drug overdose. 

Drug paraphernalia charges were filed against Melissa Summer Poleto, 38, Burnt Cabins, according to the report.

At about 3 a.m. on Aug. 29, officers responded to the overdose in a home on Aughwick Road, and Poleto allegedly fled on foot. Police said they found several items of drug paraphernalia in the home. 

Charges were filed through the district court.

Franklin County 

ROBBERY: Khalil Verlie Murrell, 18, Chambersburg, turned himself in after a warrant was issued for robbery, burglary, terroristic threats and simple assault, according to Chambersburg Police.

SIMPLE ASSAULT: Annajeraild Shaw, 48, Chambersburg, is wanted for simple assault after Chambersburg Police said she allegedly got into a fight and injured someone. The warrant was issued through the district court. 

Fulton County

HARASSMENT: Gaven Michael Barnhart, 19, Needmore, was cited with harassment after Pennsylvania State Police, McConnellsburg said he contacted them to report that someone attempted to steal from his vehicle in Belfast Township at 4:16 p.m. on July 24. During the investigation, it was discovered that there was a fight, the report shows.

CRASH: A 17-year-old Crystal Springs driver and his two teen passengers were unharmed after the vehicle they were in rolled over. At about 2 p.m. on Sept. 6, the teen was driving a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 north on Pa. 522, when he lost control while going through a left curve, Pennsylvania State Police, McConnellsburg said. According to the report, he then drove through the southbound lane and struck an embankment, causing the car to roll over onto its passenger side and roof. The vehicle was towed.

Cumberland County

CRASH: Marilyn M. Zantinsky, 78, Carlisle, suffered minor injuries after she lost control of a 2003 Chrysler 300 at about 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 7 while attempting to reverse out of a stall in a Giant parking lot, and struck a grocery cart return bumper edge, a 2006 Honda CR-V and a building support beam, Pennsylvania State Police, Carlisle said. Zantinsky was taken to Holy Spirit Hospital. The Chrysler was towed. The beam was cleared as safe.

HARASSMENT: Frank Bradley Bogel, 43, Carlisle, was cited with harassment after he allegedly shoved a Carlisle woman to the ground and punched her six times in the back of the head during a domestic dispute at about 10 p.m. on Sept. 5 in South Middleton Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Carlisle.
