Voluspa Celebrity Fans Candles Review

Oh and it happens to be affordable too.

What do Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, Megan Fox and Victoria Beckham all have in common - well other than hefty bank accounts, mega-watt smiles and handbags worth more than my apartment, that is? A love for candles and one brand rumoured (and in some instances confirmed) to fill their swanky homes happens to be Voluspa. The good news is that you don't need to be an A Lister in order to afford your own little slice of scented luxury.

A few years ago, I read an interview in which Selena Gomez cited her favourite candles to be Voluspa Mokara and Voluspa Saijo Persimmon . After a quick Google search, I quickly learned that this particular home fragrance brand is both understated and underrated; with prices starting at £15, I decided to treat myself to a candle or two. Fast-forward a year or two, and I have now burnt through more Voluspa votives than I care to count but on the plus side I have lots of pretty, mini vases to scatter around my home.

The truth is as much as I enjoy Voluspa scents - they are inspired and never created to mimic or dupe other, more well known fragrance houses - some of the packaging does leave a lot to be desired. Home decor of course revolves around personal taste and inspiration but the large, metal tin style Voluspa candles don't do it for me. Rather I find myself collecting and burning, the classic range which comes in two sizes: classic (12oz) and votive (3oz) - both of which feature, beautiful, clear glass, jars that just scream luxury. If like myself you are fickle and find yourself flitting in-between scents weekly - if not daily - I fully recommend purchasing the votive size. Sure they are a smidgen on the small side but they burn well, lasting for over 15 hours, and as each scent is robust the quickly fill any room, meaning in this instance size doesn't really matter.

At this point I think I've now tried every fragrance within the classic collection and the two I keep coming back to are: Gardenia Colonia - a powdery, white floral that is dreamily romantic and Suede Blanc - hints of leather and suede, combined with woody accents; they are unlike anything else I've tried from other brands. A new addition that I've quickly and unexpectedly fallen for is Prosecco Bellini - fruity, peachy and punchy, without a trance of alcohol in sight.

I have a sneaky feeling that Voluspa will be the candle brand of 2018 - you heard it here first.
