USA TODAY NETWORK - Tennessee
Tennessee Volunteers head coach Butch Jones tries to call a time out against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets during the second quarter at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

On this edition of The Volunteer State, columnists Joe Rexrode of The Tennessean and The Knoxville News Sentinel's John Adams discuss the struggles by Tennessee in the 42-41 double-overtime win Monday night over Georgia Tech.

Rexrode and Adams also discuss the impact of the loss of wide receiver Jauan Jennings, after a report earlier Tuesday citing a source stating he was "probably done"  for the season after an undisclosed injury Monday.
