Pay attention to P&K

Fertility is one of the biggest input costs on a farm.  The Climate Corporation’s Brad Joern tells Brownfield the company’s FieldView platform data is used to provide insight in to fertility, not only for nitrogen, but also phosphorus and potassium.  All three are needed to provide adequate nutrients to crops.  “It’s that lowest stave in the whiskey barrel that really drives yield,” Joern told Brownfield Ag News.  “If you’re supplying adequate amounts of nitrogen, but inadequate amounts of some other nutrient, then your yields are going to be limited.”
