Live Video: A community conversation on school choice under President Trump

President Donald Trump and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos support school choice, and have signaled they want to expand privately managed schools that operate apart from districts.

Come hear local educators and students who have experienced both sides of Milwaukee’s educational divide discuss how national and local political decisions could play out in schools.

Join us for “Across the Divide: Where is school choice headed under President Trump?" This is a joint effort by the Journal Sentinel and WUWM, Milwaukee Public Radio (89.7-FM).

Date: 7 p.m. Sept. 19 (doors open at 6:30 p.m.)
