Look: Isaiah Thomas, Kevin Love were AAU teammates

Long before they were going up against each other in the NBA - and as of Tuesday's blockbuster trade - Kevin Love and Isaiah Thomas were on the same AAU team.

The picture above, as pointed out by Uproxx, is a photo from the 2005 ABCD Camp - which included Brandon Jennings, Renardo Sidney, Mike Conley, OJ Mayo and Greg Oden.

Thomas spoke more about their relationship in a much-circulated interview with The Vertical (via MassLive) early last year:

Years ago, Love and Thomas were childhood AAU basketball teammates. Thomas said he would take a two-and-a-half hour train ride to Portland, Ore., to stay with Love's family.

"And then Kevin and his dad Stan, they would come pick me up and I would stay the weekend at his house so I could play on that AAU team," Thomas said. "It's something that me and Kevin, we'll talk about. It's crazy that we're both in the NBA and he is at the level he's at, and I'm doing pretty well. To be able to say that I used to go to his house every other weekend and stay the night, and his parents used to cook dinner, and all that type of thing, it's crazy to see that."

"@kevinlove haha I use to come stay at the crib every other weekend and lower the hoop outside so I could dunk #Funtimes," he wrote in a now-deleted tweet captured by MassLive.
