Milk futures, cash dairy lower

Class III milk futures at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were lower on follow through selling and demand concerns. August was down $.01 at $16.54, September was $.21 lower at $16.92, October was down $.21 at $16.79, and November was $.22 lower at $16.68.

Cash cheese blocks were $.0225 lower at $172. One load was sold at $1.72. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $1.74. Barrels were down $.04 at $1.72. A total of 23 loads were sold, including 18 at $1.76 and one at $1.72. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $1.77.

Butter was $.0575 lower at $2.57. One load was sold at $2.57. The last unfilled bid was on two loads at $2.53. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $2.575.

Nonfat dry milk was $.005 lower at $.8275. The last unfilled bid was on one load at $.8225. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $.8275.
