Seminar will educate on record expungement

Caddo Parish, in partnership with the Caddo Clerk of Court and other partners, is hosting a summit to educate residents on how to get misdemeanor charges expunged from the public record. 

The Caddo Parish Second Chance Adult Expungement Summit and Resource Fair will be held on Friday, Aug. 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Riverview Hall and Theater in Shreveport.

This event is free and open to the public.

Two informational sessions on the expungement process will be offered at 9 a.m. and noon. Forms and paperwork will be provided. Seating will be limited. Participants are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes early.

Residents who attend the summit can get more information on how to get misdemeanors removed from the public access. They also can speak with attorneys present and get information on felony expungement. The resource fair will include various organizations and businesses and will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
