3 Days Left For 100% US Airways Bonus On Purchased Miles (Targeted)

The US Airways 100% bonus on purchase or gifted miles is coming to an end on July 31, 2013. This is a chance to purchase US Airways miles at $.0188 per mile. Maxing out this promotion means that the purchased miles (50,000) plus the bonus miles (50,000) are enough to redeem for a roundtrip Business Class flight to Europe, North Asia or South America on one of their partner airlines or a US Airways destination.

How To Get 100% Bonus

Promotion Details

  • Purchase miles between now and July 31, 2013
  • Bonus miles will be awarded upon completion of the transaction
  • Maximum number of buy or gift bonus miles that can be received by one member is 50,000
  • Price of miles is $.035 plus 7.5% tax

If you purchase 50,000 miles under this promotion, you’ll receive 50,000 bonus miles. These miles will cost you $1,881.25 bringing the cost per mile down to $.0188 per mile.

The bonus amounts translate into enough miles to purchase a round-trip Business Class award ticket to Europe, North Asia or a number of other great destinations based on the US Airways partner award chart.

Bottom Line

These promotions do come around often with the US Airways Dividend Miles program. But there is no telling what will happen to these 100% buy miles promotions once the integration with American Airlines AAdvantage programs begins (which is already underway).

I’d suggest only purchasing the miles if you have an immediate or near term use for them. Still, a Business Class ticket to Europe, North Asia or South America for only $1,881.25 is not a bad price to pay.

If you are looking for another way to earn US Airways or American Airlines miles (US Airways and American programs will merge at some point in the near future and mileage balances will combine) consider the US Airways Premier World MasterCard which normally comes with 30,000 bonus miles after your first purchase but there is a better offer link available on Flyertalk for 35,000 where the annual fee is waived in the first year.

  1. Question for you; I received a 100% targeted offer back in June, that had a deadline of July 31. I took up the offer by purchasing 40k + 40 k bonus, a couple weeks ago,

After I purchased as aforesaid, about a week ago, I received another slightly different targeted email, offering the 100% bonus as well.

So, does this mean that I can buy again since it is a “different offer”? Or is this the same offer?

  2. I can’t say whether it is a different offer or not without looking at the details, but the T&Cs of your targeted offer should spell out if you can purchase more miles through the second one you received.
