Man found dead in pickup on Golden Gate Parkway near U.S. 41 in Naples

A death investigation blocked parts of U.S. 41 North on Saturday afternoon, according to the Naples Police Department.

Naples police said they received a call at 1:30 p.m. for a "medical rescue" on Golden Gate Parkway just east of U.S. 41.

A man was found dead in the passenger seat of a pickup.

Krista Williamson, spokeswoman with the Collier County Sheriff's Office, said the Sheriff's Office was taking over the investigation and a medical examiner will try to determine the cause of death. Williamson said the death didn't appear suspicious.
