Milwaukee Brewers pronounce Wisconsin city names, and fail miserably

The Brewers' Domingo Santana is congratulated in the dugout after hitting a three-run home run during the fifth inning on Sunday.

Wisconsin cities are known to keep residents and outsiders alike tongue-tied. In fact, it could be considered a pronunciation nightmare. But it can also be really funny.

Just ask the Milwaukee Brewers.

FOX Sports Wisconsin put some of the Brewers to the test by asking them to pronounce a few cities, among them Ashwaubenon, Weyauega, Ixonia, Mequon and Oconomowoc.

The results? A few perplexed baseball players who weren't afraid to laugh at their pronunciation failures.

Brewers pitcher Chase Anderson was probably the most confused as he asked at the beginning if all the cities were spelled correctly. (Yes, Chase, they are.)

The Texas native got two out of 11 cities right, by pronouncing Ashwaubenon and Muskego correctly.

Right fielder Domingo Santana (Dominican Republic) and pitcher Jimmy Nelson (Texas) followed suit with two as well.

Pitcher Jacob Barnes (Florida), however, failed to even get one city pronounced right.

The name-that-Wisconsin-city thing has become a pretty common schtick.
