Fun and awards at the Lincoln County Fair

A participant registers her spectacular flower at the Lincoln County Fair.
Many blue, red and white ribbons were presented at the Lincoln County Fair last week. Lincoln County Garden Club supervised the flower and plant entries, and judged the event. Grand champion ribbons were awarded to Kristin Sultemeier and Sam Roper. Reserve grand champion ribbons went to Judy Chappell and Sam Roper. Smokey Bear Historical Park won first place with a bouquet.
This little goat seems a bit resistant to the affections of a fan.

Awards went to winners in dozens of different categories at the Lincoln County Fair last week from flowers and baked goods to livestock and leather work. The annual county fair was staged at the county fairgrounds in Capitan.
