5. Brookfield East (12-2): The defending Division 2 state champion has three three-year starters anchoring a stout defense.

6. Homestead (11-2): The Highlanders have won an area-best 111 games the past 10 seasons.

7. Whitefish Bay (8-4): With 16 returning starters, the Blue Dukes are poised for a huge year.

8. Arrowhead (5-5): After winning its fewest games in at least 15 years, the Warhawks will have a chip on their shoulder.

9. Oak Creek (7-4): The Knights, who are loaded at the skill positions, must finish games better this season.
