Authorities were called to the CVS in the 5200 block of U.S. 41 N. just before noon Tuesday.

Sheriff's Office officials at the time said they could not say whether the man was armed or what he took, citing the active investigation, but a 911 call released later that day sheds some light on the case.

When a dispatcher asked the caller whether the man had any weapons, she saidshe didn't see any. The dispatcher later asked whether the caller gave him the drugs he demanded, and she said she did.

"He brought a CVS bag with, like, a box from the parking lot, of — it was like cold and cough stuff; he brought a CVS bag to my technician," the caller told the dispatcher. "And she came back to me, and she said, 'I think we're getting robbed. This guy wants our stuff.' "

The caller told the dispatcher that she waited until the man left the store before calling 911.

"I waited just because I wanted him to be out of the store," the caller said. "I didn't want anyone to get hurt."

The man left the store on foot and said, "Thank you," the caller said.
