~ Make sure to read the original post about Ron Eubanks’ CJ-2A – “Nothing can Replace my Willys CJ-2A Jeep”
Since my original write up on my Willys CJ-2A, I have now completed my restoration. I was able to add new stock wheels and NDT tires, a new original windshield, seat covers, seat springs, rubber floor mat, rear floor mat and all of the hoses under the hood. All of the body repairs made over the years were kept. Minimal body work was performed. I chose the 1946 color of Harvest Tan with Sunset Red wheels and black pin stripe. I also chose the OD canvas seat covers. All of the engine and engine bay was cleaned and repainted. All work was performed by me. I did get someone to help me wrap the seat springs and install the new glass. I am considering getting a top, in the future.
My Jeep is a daily driver and is a joy to drive and use. It brings a lot of enjoyment!

Looking for, Willys Jeep Parts, Willys Jeep replacement parts, Willys Jeep body parts and much more for your 1941-1971 Willys vehicle, you have come to the right place!
question: why did you use over sized tires?
Do you agree that people never use the pin stripes at the wheels ?
Awesome job !! Is the color harvest tan ? It looks great.
When buying an older jeep, always buy the best one you can afford. Also, the most complete one. Having to buy parts and assemblies after purchase can be expensive. A running and driveable jeep is always the better buy. If the jeep is complete, buying replacement parts is affordable. I had to buy a new gas tank, fuel line, brake parts, fuel pump, etc. it had the wrong windshield, and missing tail gate. Purchased new.
The rail road track and old station is here in Alpine Texas. The rail line runs to Persideo Texas. The old depot was used in John Wayne movies.
The brackets on the drivers side are for top bows.
Thanks for the interest.
Very nice..I am considering buying and restoring one..any tips you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks , RICK
Great job, looks amazing! My son and I are in the middle of a CJ2A restoration also. To answer Jon Boothe’s comment above, the brackets are for the roof or top bows. They disassemble and slide into the brackets. Can’t wait to finish ours.
Beautifully done! I just brought a 48 CJ2A home from East Texas haven’t started much yet adding a new wiring harness now, I’m curious what are the brackets on the drivers side rear used for? I have never seen a CJ with them being used for something, Jon
Compliments!I am also a railroads enthusisat, where is located the railroad in the back of the picture?
Thank You for your answer!
