Rozga Funeral Homes will open a funeral planning center in downtown Milwaukee in September, the firm announced Wednesday.

Working from a 1,100-square-foot space at 224 E. Mason St., Rozga will offer planning for cremation and burial services and “celebration of life” memorials at settings such as the Harley-Davidson Museum, the Milwaukee Art Museum and local restaurants.

There are only a few similar planning centers in the country, Rozga said.

Rozga operates funeral homes at 703 W. Lincoln Ave. and 4309 S. 20th St. The family-owned business dates to 1898, when the great-grandfather of current president John Rozga made caskets as a furniture builder.
