Dale Jr. wants Chris Rock in hypothetical biopic

Michelle R. Martinelli

If there's a NASCAR driver Hollywood would make any type of biopic about, it's most certainly Dale Earnhardt Jr. There's no real way to quantify his longterm impact on the sport, but it's sure to extend far beyond his final race as a full-time driver at Homestead-Miami Speedway in November.

Even though he's the natural and obvious choice for filmmakers - should they choose to make another new NASCAR movie - the 14-time most popular driver doubts it will ever happen.

But that didn't stop him from making hypothetical casting recommendations when a fan asked about it.

The seemingly randomness of this list - and the fact that all three of them are at least nine years older than 42-year-old Earnhardt (Steve Buscemi is almost 60) - elicited some great responses from JR Nation, as well as a follow-up question from NASCAR driver Ragan Smith. Chris Rock seemed to be the fan favorite.
