At 2 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, the Genova construction site on Via Coconut Point Road in Estero was lit up like it was mid-day as Naples Concrete poured the third section of the 52,000-square-foot courtyard, the second-floor level, of the first building in Genova.

The stream of concrete trucks, pumpers and workers were on site in the middle of the night under banks of floodlights to avoid the heavy and unpredictable summer rains.

In all, the courtyard level is 1.3 acres of 14-inch-thick post-tension deck, a structural system using cables within the concrete to structurally reinforce the deck. The cables are tightened as the concrete cures for 28 days. When the courtyard deck is completed, more than 2,200 cubic yards of concrete will have been poured.

Genova is a gated, resort lifestyle community of six courtyard buildings offering 205 luxury two-, three- and four-bedroom condominium residences ranging from 1,324 to 2,206 air-conditioned square feet, priced from $299,600 to $639,600.
