Are Rams trying to recreate the 2016 Bills WRs?

Charles Curtis

There was a lot of confusion on Twitter Friday afternoon about the Buffalo Bills dealing wideout Sammy Watkins to the Rams and acquiring Jordan Matthews from the Philadelphia Eagles, but it lead to one question about Los Angeles from me.

Did the Rams realize that they just recreated the 2016 Bills receiving corps?

They signed ex-Bill Robert Woods in the offseason and brought in Watkins, which is probably exciting for the pair, but it's kind of weird when you realize that they put their eggs into a basket that produced 1,043 yards combined last season.

Of course having a new quarterback chucking them the rock will change those numbers, and having Tavon Austin be more of a specialized receiver than a top-2 option seems like a smart call. But do you really want the Bills' two best receivers from last year?
