Did Colton Underwood and Aly Raisman break up?

The sports couple with the best meet-cute story appears to be done.

Gold medal-winning gymnast Aly Raisman and former tight end Colton Underwood are on a break, according to the ex-NFLer in an interview he did two months ago that seemed to fly under the radar.

Via the Lincoln Journal Star in June:

"We're taking a break right now," Underwood said via phone this week when discussing his Legacy Foundation's third-annual football camp. "We're still good friends and talk, but all that travel had been a nightmare."

Underwood, 25, trains in Colorado and Raisman, 23, in Massachusetts.

"It ended fine," he said. "We're in a good place."

Underwood added that the focus from the Internet "put a lot of pressure on us" but that they "had fun with it" and had some fun date nights.

The relationship began when Underwood asked her out via video and Raisman agreed to a date with the "very cute" player. The tight end said at the time that he was "just asking a girl on a date."

Months later, it was more than that. Raisman and Underwood confirmed the pair were dating and made appearances on red carpets including at the Golden Globes as well as on social media. He even came to her defense against a nasty Twitter troll.

For now, we'll wave goodbye to the pair, but who knows what will happen down the road?
