It’s been a long process to get Baby Weekly Flyer up to traveling speed. First, we got Baby Weekly Flyer’s Passport, went through a grueling interview with the TSA ;), but now we are proud parents of a Global Entry Card carrying Baby Weekly Flyer!
Bottom Line
The Global Entry card was received within weeks of Baby’s interview with the TSA. Now the Weekly Flyer’s can travel as a family again, only this time through the expedited customs process with Global Entry.

A word of caution – our little one has had Global Entry for over a year and has used it on the return of 4 international trips (she’s 2.5 now). While great to skip the lines, the machines can’t read her little fingerprints – therefore generating a big ‘X’. We then are told to go to the front of the line and get our passport stamped like normal. Problem is, every time this has almost started fights with the people behind us as they can’t understand why we get to cut the line (and of course the TSA people say nothing to help us). Good times.
Not to be too picky here, but immigration and the global entry program are overseen by the CBP, not the TSA. So the interview is with a CBP agent. TSA people have nothing to with clearing customs on the way into the US.
Signed my nine year old up for GE, so that he could accompany me through GE.
CBP officer was less than impressive “we won’t know if his fingerprints will take”. How will I find out? “Try it in 2 months”
Not super impressive.
My 13 year old boys have GE – it works flawlessly here but Australia is frustrating because their Smartgate reciprocity requires a child to be 16 for some reason.
