Complimentary Upgrade At Waldorf Astoria Or Conrad Hotels

Hilton sent me a targeted promotion to receive a complimentary upgrade at Waldorf Astoria or Conrad hotels through August 31, 2013. But the promotion appears to be available to all using the booking code included in this post.

How To Book Upgrade

Even though the targeted offer website says you must book through a specific link, I found the booking code “PBLRM1” listed in the terms and conditions was usable on the Hilton, Conrad, or Waldorf Astoria website.

Using the rate plan, you should see the description when making your reservation.

Example Booking

Using the Conrad website and booking code “PBLRM1”, I was able to reserve a King Bed for $204. Without the rate plan on Conrad website I was able to find the same rate of $204 but with no upgrade.

Terms And Conditions

Offer is valid for recipient of this email only and is non-transferable. Offer valid for stays completed between May 28, 2013, and August 31, 2013 (“Promotional Period”) at participating Waldorf Astoria™ Hotels & Resorts or Conrad® Hotels & Resorts. To receive the room upgrade promotion, Hilton HHonors™ members must book Plan Code “PBLRM1” and register prior to check-in of your stay within the Promotional Period to be eligible to receive upgrades to preferred rooms. All upgrades are granted on a space-available basis for the entire stay, as determined at the time of check-in. Preferred rooms are identified by each individual property and may vary within each brand. Upgrades may include the next-best available room from the room type booked, rooms with desirable views, corner rooms, rooms on high floors, rooms with special amenities, or rooms on Executive Floors, as identified by each property. Upgrades exclude executive suites, Villas and specialty accommodations (which may include, but not limited to, “Vista” and “Villa” accommodation types), subject to the discretion of the hotel. Upgrades will be given only for one room for the member, regardless of additional rooms the member may have purchased at or after the time of booking. Offer is not transferable and cannot be combined with other select offers.

Bottom Line

This “targeted” promotion appears to be available using “PBLRM1” and doesn’t appear to increase the cost of the room based on the few sample bookings I looked at.

If you plan to book a stay at a Waldorf Astoria or Conrad consider comparing the rate vs the rate using the booking code, it could mean a complimentary upgrade.

Of course if you already have status with Hilton through stays or through the New Citi® Hilton HHonors™ Reserve Card, you’ll be eligible for complimentary upgrades anyway. So this promotion may be of more interest those without Hilton status.
