MADISON – Wisconsin is scheduled to face Big Ten border rivals Iowa and Minnesota just one time each during the 2017’-18 men’s basketball season.

Big Ten officials on Monday released each team’s matchups but dates, start times and broadcast information are to be announced later.

UW hosts Minnesota and travels to Iowa.

The Badgers have home and away games against Illinois, Michigan State, Nebraska, Northwestern and Purdue.

They have home games only against Indiana, Michigan, Ohio State and Minnesota and road games only against Maryland, Penn State, Rutgers and Iowa.

UW swept Minnesota last season but the Gophers likely will be picked to finish ahead of the Badgers in 2017-‘18.

Iowa won the teams’ lone meeting last season, rallying for a 59-57 victory at the Kohl Center.

Indiana, Ohio State and Illnois feature new coaches, with Archie Miller replacing Tom Crean at Indiana, Chris Holtmann replacing Thad Matta at Ohio State and Brad Underwood replacing John Groce at Illinois.

Miller previously coached at Dayton; Holtmann was at Butler; and Underwood was at Oklahoma State.

UW’s road game against Northwestern will be at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill. The Wildcats are playing their home games there while Ryan Fieldhouse is being renovated.
