@NYBanker – I’m going to guess SGD, though the website is US based so it could be USD…

Allegedly, my friend makes $30 CAD/hour at WestJet Starting pay
Allegedly, Air Canada long term workers got lucky with the $50 CAD / hour capped. Both are gross pre-major-Cad-taxes which are known to be brutal worldwide.
80 hour flying month plus per D on layovers.
Nothing beats the service of Asian carriers though. Best in the world.

Well, pretty ironic that the U.S. and European FAs get paid so much and offer crappy services. Nothing to complain. It’s a service cultural difference. I talked to some first class FAs in SQ in this post:http://www.tprochina.com/2013/05/singapore-airline-let-me-have-3-first.html

and they take pride in their services regardless of how much they get paid.

I worked for Singapore Airlines before moved to state. To be honest, the salary was pretty good compare with FA in the US. Around 2012 I remember I did change of flight very often, so I got more long haul flights, I wasn’t senior in that time only couple years of flying. Per month I could reach Sing$6000 to Sin $7000 (US$4,000-5000), for me this was a very good income in my early 20s. I remember the basic salary was Sin$1700 in that time. But like mentioned above there were so many allowances, including the announcement allowance. The tax is not bad at all. Best job ever, you got pay for work and holiday.
