Great Lake Cheese announces expansion

Great Lakes Cheese will be relocating and expanding its Wausau, Wisconsin specialty conversion plant.

The company announced a development plan which includes a new 84-million dollar facility in Wausau’s West Industrial Park where they will expand their line of pre-cut deli and specialty cheese products.  The expansion will also add 125 new jobs to their existing 200-person workforce.

Great Lake Cheese has four production plants including La Crosse and Seymour, Wisconsin and two more in New York.  Their other conversion plants are in Plymouth, Wisconsin, plus Ohio, Utah, and Tennessee.
