The Best Summer Fragrances of 2017

It's Summer, it's warm, you most likely want to smell great but don't want anything that will cause a headache or translate into a warm, sticky, mess on the skin. I hear you loud and clear and also have your back with three different but equally Summer friendly fragrances, that you will want to wear all season long and then some.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche Skinscent  £42 via Selfridges
The O.G of summer fragrances, period. I've yet to meet anyone who isn't a fan or someone who doesn't all but demand what my scent of choice is when wearing Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche Skinscent. It is fresh, fruity, creamy and quintessentially Summer all rolled into one bottle without ever being cloying. In my mind it is a little reminiscent of sun oil, cocktails, and the basis of just about every Summer memory I have from the last five or so years. The main notes are bergamot, warm amber, tiare flower, vanilla and coconut - it is sweet, soft and comforting. I can not be without a bottle of this once the Sun makes an appearance and I all but beg you to give in and try this for yourself.

Philosophy Pure Grace Summer Surf Eau de Toilette (yet to be launched online at time of publication)
I don't typically gravitate towards aquatic fragrances as I don't find many really do justice in capture the rugged landscape of any ocean or beach front for that matter. One scent that has forever changed my mind in that aspect is Philosophy Pure Grace Summer Surf Eau de Toilette. I really hope this launch doesn't fly under the radar as beautifully captures a trip to the beach; from the familiar tinge of sunscreen, the salt of the sea and even the fluffiness of a towel wrapped around your shoulders, signally it is time to pack up and go home. It's woodsy (blonde wood I believe), ever so slightly floral (tiare flower again), coupled with comfort and nostalgia aplenty.

DKNY Nectar Love Eau de Parfum £40-£74 via The Perfume Shop
Perhaps you don't want to be reminded of the sea, beach nor cocktails and want the heat of Summer personified with a little sweet kick? The brand, spanking new DKNY launch encapsulates the slightly sexier side of Summer; DKNY Nectar Love Eau de Parfum is warm yet not spicy, sweet and alluring and the perfect option for anyone who dares to be a little more risque with fragrance choices. Nectar Love is soft yet memorable thanks to notes of Yellow Freesia, Mandarin, Grapefruit, Nectarine, and as the bottle hints beeswax.

May your Summer be long, hot and sweetly fragrant.
