WASHINGTON - The Milwaukee Brewers continued to tweak their roster before their second game against the Washington Nationals on Wednesday evening, adding outfielder Lewis Brinson.

Brinson, considered the Brewers' No. 1 prospect, was summoned from Class AAA Colorado Springs and was listed in the starting lineup against Washington. To make room for him on their roster, the Brewers placed right-hander Matt Garza on the 10-day DL with a lower leg strain.

The Brewers will try to build on their 8-0 whipping of the Nationals on Tuesday night, the first game of a series of tough ones, including a home series this weekend against the Chicago Cubs. Milwaukee is a half game ahead of Chicago in the NL Central entering play Wednesday.

The game features a strong pitching matchup of Jimmy Nelson for the Brewers and lefty Gio Gonzalez for the Nationals.
