Barkley already rules out Lakers' playoff hopes

Andrew Joseph

The Western Conference will be absolutely stacked this NBA season, and while there will be plenty of buzz around the Lakers with Lonzo Ball, the playoffs are a long shot.

Charles Barkley isn't giving the Lakers any chance at all.

TMZ caught up with Barkley at the Los Angeles airport and asked the NBA Hall of Famer about the revamped Lakers.

The exchange went like this:

TMZ: Are the Lakers a playoff team?

Barkley: No. Hell no!

TMZ: Not even with Lonzo?

Barkley: No!

Those answers needed no elaboration (after all, he was trying to get a cab at the airport). When asked if he could take LaVar Ball in one-on-one, Barkley replied, "Everybody can."

LaVar and Barkley exchanged verbal shots earlier this year after Ball's Steph Curry remarks shocked NBA fans. LaVar responded by questioning Barkley's parenting skills.

That feud still hasn't cooled off.
