The Radial customer care center in Eau Claire is planned to add 600 seasonal jobs in anticipation for the upcoming holiday period.

Technology company Radial said Monday that it plans to add 600 seasonal workers at its Eau Claire customer care center to handle increased business during the holiday season.

“We're thrilled to be creating so many additional jobs in Eau Claire, many of which may lead to full-time opportunities,” Kelly Scally, the director of strategic staffing at Radial, said in a statement.

The company, which is based in Pennsylvania, handles services that revolve around e-commerce, including shipping, customer care, fraud protection and payment services.

The Eau Claire location employs about 425 people and focuses on customer care services for retailers such as American Eagle Outfitters, Aéropostale and Shoe Carnival.

Seasonal employees are brought in for peak periods such as the holiday season.

The company provides a regular source of seasonal work for college students and part-time workers in the city, said Mike Schatz, the director of the city's economic development department.

The seasonal work is expected to last from October to December.

Radial has five customer care centers in the United States.
